XM radio questions
I'm confused (please, no, "So what else is new Biba?"). I have a very simple XM radio arrangement in my home/office. The receiver is XM ready so I have a tiny little gizmo on top which plugs into the XM socket in the back and a simple antenna plugs into the gizmo. No power source going to either.
My car radio while not new isn't ancient, has a CD slot, and an Aux jack in the front. I suppose I could un plug the home one to see if it would work in my car, but had a bit of a hassle when first trying to get the satellite to recognize me and don't want to go through that again.
Is there any reason this set-up won't work the same in my car? I of course switch stations using my receiver and save stations in the same manner as I would FM stations.
What I'm asking is why are the car set-ups so much more complex? Is there a valid reason?
I really do like plug-and-play.
