There are less than two weeks to go before the event. So who's going to be there besides me?

I'm hoping to, but I have to wait until last minute to register due to unpredictable schedule. Also I just renewed my national AROC membership and added AROSC as 2nd local chapter - might as well pocket the discount by waiting, hoping it has registered.
The registration has to be postmarked the 11th, right?

The 11th will be fine. I hope your schedule works out and we see you there.

I'll be there to make another attempt at taking the door handles off of "Old, Slow Blue".
If any of you are hesitating because of the need for a 5 point harness . It's real easy to get one that can snap in from Crow Enterprises (Fred Crow) in Fullerton. You have to drill a little hole in the floor pan, but when it's not in use it hides very nicely under the floor mat .

Norm,
I think there is a better safer way. I am 99% sure you can put a 6 point parachute style unit in any car with stock seats and a harness bar that goes to the B-pillers or connects to the rear seatbelt anchors in a 4 person passenger car. the 5th point anti sub just does not work well with stock seats. It really is a poor barely acceptable anti-submarine. The hot ticket is to get a 6 point formula style harness or "T" bar style. The first one gives the most room for the family jewels. This allows the lap belts to be mounted to most stock seatbelt anchor locations and the left right anti sub to be mounted there too. Then you sit on the antisub strap upon car entry, and it connects to the camlock up between your legs. Thus you have good pelvis control and good anti submarine function to control the lap belts. The shoulder belt part connects as usual to the b-piller added harness bar or backseat belt anchors, but long straps are not as safe as short ones so the harness bar gets my vote.
p.s. if you already have a 5 point camlock or latchlock you can retrofit a 6 point anti sub strap just by buying one. They are pretty cheap less than 50 bucks. But to get any good effect you must sit on it parachute style rather than route it like a typical 5 point.
YMMV

Fontana TT
This sucks!!!
First was Willow Springs, now it looks like Fontana will get rain as well. My car has no windows and my tires are in their last weekend-worth of use (Kumhos R compound). And I live 20 minutes away!
I have my fingers tightly crossed, have lit several candles to all the usual saints, said all my prayers. What else?

Neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night shall keep these 'loosely wrapped' competitors from their appointed rounds.

Rain????
A wet track makes it a "driver's event". Besides, it looks like there's a reasonable chance the sun will be shining on Sunday PM for the timed runs. That would make it even more interesting, wet practice and dry timed runs. But if it stays wet, maybe an 85 bhp 1300 cc Giulia TI will take Top Time of the Day!

Rain will change the event by possibly giving my 85bhp Giulia 1600 single solex a little edge against more power - oversteer.
We'll find out how well the Marquis de Sade Instructor Team of Phil Guiril, Chris Mayring and Brad Gray helped me with left foot breaking and heel & toe shifting at the last 2 schools.

Today I went over to Fontana to check out the time trials. I met a great alfisti who gave me a ride in his GTV. It was fabulous. I will stop smiling some time next week. The AROSC crew run a nice show.
Thank you Chris.

I had a great time. People were super nice, weather was great (hmm... well, at least fun, particular Sat afternoon)
The organizers put on an awesome event! It is amazing what these people put into this so that the rest of us can have fun! I don't want to mention names as I'm sure to forget some. But, go check it out, and you'll find out for yourself.

Unsung Hero
Many thanks to Dennis Fibrow, AROSC Dir of Race and "custom course designer".
He spent all of Friday laying out about 2 miles of cones to make up the 1 mile course. Some 4th gear parts and several tricky turns.
Can't explain how much fun it was for us dry So. Californians to experience 1 day of wet track.
I also now feel the excitement of Rally folks when they splash through water and have NO visibility for while. We did have a small 'river' running through the course on Sat.
For those who did not come out, you missed a great driving experience.
