While I like ideal of certain degree of noise control (ie a few that's absolutely unacceptably LOUD while putt-putting thru the pits), in general, the track has been there for long time, if people don't want the noise, don't move next to it, and then complain about noise and try to close the race track (which has happend a few times).

Perhaps a better "noise" control is to designate "noise area" for people don't mind the "noise" from the track. Sign a paper saying the track noise is fine before allowing them to buy a house or move in.

Well, this is a democracy. For you guys it is just a hobby (albeit serious), but for those poor folks having to live next to a noisy track without appreciation, it is their daily life. So, I would say, be considerate or they will rightfully shot you down... well, maybe not, but hey, try look at it from the other point of view. How about showing some consideration, compassion , respect, ... ? Hey, maybe it will become mutual.

Besides, what's the big deal. All compete under the same constraints. Going fractionally quicker because of less exhaust restriction can not really be credited to _you_ improving, can it?

Ok, shoot...

Oh, I would love to bring my 2-year old, also when he gets older, but no way am I bringing him if it is excessively loud.

That's exactly my point, ideally, it's needs to be mutual, and 92db seems like a good start, except in reality, if there's even tiny little bit of noise, there will be complain, be it 92db restriction or 90db, or 89, there will be people complaining. As they move closer and closer, there will be more and more complaines and causing eventual shutdown of the track.... THAT, is what I am afraid of...

BTW, driving an Alfa itself is a serious hobby.. nah.. it's more of a passion.

jess <-- will switch back to stock muffer after current ANSA freeflow dies.
