Space proble, in Spider

We decided to go to this AROSC meeting and outing in the Joshua tree National Park Saturday 12. we were tomld that there would be a nice picnic and that there would be a picnic contest.
We loved the idea but how to you bring table, chairs, chinaware, glasses, table cloth, food, wine and what not in a Spider if you realluy want to winn the contest.
My wife Betty had so much stuff to bring that I had to find a solution to bring all she wanted to make sure to impress everybody.
Look at the picture below so you see our solution. It might help some of you, Spider owners, for next picnic contest.

By the way we did not win. our son and daughter in law did !

Fabulous solution! I'll have to remember the 'Spring Tour in the Desert'.

Sorry I missed the fun. You were all in my neck of the woods, or desert so to speak. Palm Desert is just a stones throw from Joshua Tree National Park.

The Coachella Valley has become quite a destination in and of itself. Lots of great restaurants, museums and public art fairs. Alfas look great in this bright sunlight sitting parked outside the La Quinta Art Festival, or Indio Tamale festival or Indio Date Festival. There's also a little place out here called Palm Springs. Sometimes they know how to throw a good party as well.

Welcome. This Valley is a tourist's Heaven in many ways.

Go online and study things a bit first.

The best time for a visit is about Mid September to early May. But as you noticed it's getting hot now. Summer days can reach a regular 115 F to a whopping 124 F! So, Winter good, Summer not so good. But golfing is alot cheaper then!

The Palm Springs Air Museum is a great destination all year round.

The Palm Desert McCallum Theatre has many great Broadway shows.

There are many great Casino's now with Hotels all over the Valley.

Indio, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City and Palm Springs are the best destinations. Palm Desert is the best and most expensive with it's El Paseo shopping and affordable mall. Rancho Mirage has 'The River' shopping experience as a close 2nd. Then old Palm Springs is OK for it's kitsch shopping. Live music and great food are found in all these places. Then come the Festivals. look those up online. There are lots!

Hope to see you out here.

Smile Picnic contest

Hi everyone,

It was a real pleasure for both of us, Betty and I participating to this event.
We were told that thre was a "picnic contest".
?y wife wanted absolutely to participate and win, of course.
By the time she got everything ready for the picnic and the contest we would have needed at least 6 or 7 Spiders to fit it all in !
And we were coming only with one Spider, of course.
So i had to find quickly a solution for this : bring the Spider AND the picnic stuff.
Look at the picture below to see our solution:
