A number of people start with Novice Time Trial.
You stay awake during class, definitely have an instructor with you during your first session, drive your car to your ability (the prize money isn't all that great), practice your 'point by' and remember to breath on occassion.

Thanks to Rob Rhodes who took the photos of the Saturday qualifying races; and Mike McKibbin who took the all the other. Great pics thanks for sharing! I was really stoked that I caught that on video. I was playing with a new digital camera that shoots small video clips and thought I'd give it a try right when the two of you were coming down the straight.

I thought for sure for a second there you guys were going to collide.
