Jack, great clip. Looked like you saved it and right as you did, turn nine began. Luckily you found that fire escape road. The car looks great and congrats on this weekend. Hopefully I'll see you in a couple of months at the New Year's day run.

And had I entered the Alfa Cup this is what Anthony and everybody else would have seen.

Jack,
You need to post a pitcture of your car with yout tires on the roof. You passed us on the way home...it looked great and it was funny to see people in other cars pointing at the tires way up there. If only they knew you had just turned top time of the day in Time Trials at Willow Springs with that car!

What, you're saying it looks weird or something?
Here's another video, it's from the last run before the timed sessions. It's more than a second faster than the lap that got me TToD. Shows I'm not so great in the clutch, I guess. (Actually, I had a lot less traffic in the run sessions than I did in the timed piece, where I only had one clean lap. )
1:31 lap (Quicktime, 7 megs)
I've got another 1:31 video where I come up on a Chaterham 7 (or whatever those front-engine open-wheel things are called) and I get kind of close to it in Turn 9, and then pass on the right to keep my speed up. Turns out, one of the event organizers was driving his significant other in the car, and I got a 'talking to' later.

Hi Guys, again thanks for the great weekend at Big Willow. Many of us early 911 owners belong to an early 911 club called R Gruppe. It has been suggested that your Alfa track weekends should be considered for future track days of our own small group of track fanatics. I think that is a great idea. We really enjoyed your program just the way it is, you have a great group of guys and we hope you will welcome us back too. I felt very satisfied Sunday racing at 9/10, finding some traffic to dice with while not trying to set a new personal record. Imho this is an improvement from other race weekends that seem too serious or intense for basically the same entertainment. Your group enlightened me and I hope to attend more of your events next year. Do you allow non Alfa owner’s to join?

Non Alfa Owners in AROC
All are welcome. Just show your money.
Fun people are always welcome.
But beware, hanging around funny Italian cars for any period of time can cause ownership.

Whoops.
Sorry for both the mis-identification and the incorrect pass.
(Leave it to me to make an illegal move on in front of two event bosses at once.)

Jack, at least you can pass them. I'm going to ask for dispensation that will allow me to pass in the corners or on either side . I'm starting to get tired of catching and out cornering the ground pounders at the corners an then watching them drive away . It's probably time to take the single Solex and street cams out (save them for restoration time) and put in a set of Webbers and Eurocams .

We can build you a copy of what's under the hood of my car or at least something close to what's in there.

I'm bummed that I wasn’t able to make it back out to finish my Intro Course on Sunday.
So for the next event do I have to take another Intro Course or can I go out in the beginner TT group?

Norm, what you want under your hood is MY motor...it's even faster than Anthony's!

First time on the big track . . .
How confident are you in your ability on the track? And what are your sales abilities toward selling this to AROSC?
It's always better for you to have a High Performance Driving School done before you get on the track.
Our next event will probably be at Willow Springs and a high speed track like Willow Springs is a scary place to start out.
But, then I started out there after only 2 intros, so . . . . . . . . .
