My first Giulia drive
Well, my first and only drive of the Giulia was on the track (Gee, what a great lead sentence, so pretentious!) I drove the base Giulia, paddle shift for about 5 photo shoot laps and then got to do 2 "warm" laps where I could squeal the tires a bit.
LOTS of power, it was very easy to 'steer the car with the accelerator'. Very quiet and smooth, so much that I had difficulty knowing when to shift. The car needs the TI seats, the base Giulia seats are nice and comfortable but I prefer the better fitting TI seats.
The new fangled push lots of buttons, step on the brake, tap your head antics that are now required to start a car and get it into gear threw me off but I figure as an owner I would memorize the routine.
Plenty of trunk/boot storage with the split fold down seats. It fit a 10x10 ezup quite easily with 1 seat folded.
It would be my dream car to take up to Washington next year for the Convention. Great, comfortable cruiser, auto shift for the stop and go thru the cities, listen to some nice tunes while driving up the coast on 101. And a blast to drive on the track.
That's my driving impression.
