I'm a Washington, DC, AROC member who is going to be working in San Diego for the next month. I'm wondering if there are any interesting events coming up, or if you will be having a meeting soon. I'd love to see some of your rust-free So. Cal. Alfas!

Good day!

Although it may be bit painful to arise so early on a Saturday morning, if you could get to Crystal Cove Promenade (as mentioned in other posts to this BB) by 0800 hours, you would be overwhelmed by the exotics, and the occasional Alpha Romero.

Crystal Cove is located on Pacific Coast Highway north of Laguna Beach and south of Corona Del Mar, and would be probably a minimum of a 1.5 hour drive from San Diego. Once you attend, I believe you would be more than adequately rewarded for the driving distance.....

Last Saturday's attendees included uncounted numbers of Gallardo's, F430 Spiders and Berlinettas, a fairly stock (real) 427 Cobra, a Junior Z (hi, Mike!), 2 AM Vantages, a Spyker, older Black Pony cars, at least one Carrera GT and a muscle car or two. The central parking area is usually filled before 6:30 AM....

It's not an exclusive Alfa event but there will be quite a few in competition, and it might be worth a side trip if you're in SD by this coming weekend. The only drawback is it's probably about a 3 to 4 hour drive to the track, Willow Springs International Raceway, from SD.
