Private Collection Tour - Los Angeles - Nov. 15 - Tipo 33/3 and 8C Monza Featured

Last minute notice, I know - but the San Diego Alfa Owner's Club is sponsoring a visit to a PRIVATE collection and race team facility 20 miles east of LA. Date is Saturday, November 15th., approx. 12 noon - 4. The main attractions are a currently-raced, 1971 Tipo 33/3, and a 1931 8C Monza - the latter will be started up (the T33 has engine trouble). There are approximately 30 more cars in the collection: other exotics, vintage race cars (incl. a Ferrari 512P!), European and American classics. This is NOT to be missed!

Attendance is LIMITED to 25 persons. San Diego Club members will be given priority, but there has been low response, so you have a good chance of making it on the list. San Diego drivers will be gathering together and driving up as a group. I will specify a meeting site in Covina for the Orange and LA people to gather. The SD group will stop there so we can all meet and drive the last few miles - together - to the collection.

There is no charge for this event, but our host is arranging a cold buffet lunch for us upon arrival. You are asked to please contribute a per-person lunch cost (I estimate ~$10) to the San Diego Club, so that we can reimburse our host. San Diego Club members will have lunch provided via the Club treasury. Please be prepared to pay our Treasurer when we meet in Covina prior to the final drive-up. I will be handing out printed directions to the event, and some historical/technical data on these two rare Alfas at the Covina meetup.

Out of respect for the collection owner, I am not divulging his name online, and for those whom recognize him - please do the same. His collection is extremely valuable and we should respect his privacy.

To get on the list, please email me direct: diogenio "at" yahoo "dot" com and specify HOW MANY persons. I'll let you know ASAP if you made the cut, but it might be as late as next Wednesday the 12th. At that time I'd like for you to to re-verify that you will be attending. I'll email you the meeting place address in Covina, which will take place approximately at noon.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Dennis
