Unfortunately, Hill St. is no longer as scenic since all of Signal Hill is now covered by condos. When I was a kid there was an 'annual event' where some nut would ride roller skates down Shell Hill, now just simply known as Hill St.

Still, if you punch it at the top of the hill, the rapid descent is enough to make your innards push skyward. You better have good brakes for that stop sign at the bottom though.

After living in the hood near 7th & Cherry for nine years, we just moved up, near Lakewood & Willow.

Still in Long Beach?

I'm still in the shore and just tuned her for season. . . and by season i mean sale. She's gotta go, no room and two young kids
