recommendations for someone to inspect a '69 GTV in Costa Mesa

I'm looking to buy a '69 GTV in Costa Mesa, CA and since I'm in New Jersey I was hoping that I could get some recommendations for someone local to inspect the car for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Inspection

I live in the area and have restored and raced many Alfas. I would be willing to inspect the car and give you a report on the condition for $200. This would be a visual check, and test drive. I could recommend a mechanic for a check over and above the test drive.
If you are interested, call me anytime at 949 8315882

That sounds good. I'm looking for an overview of the car's condition (cosmetic, structural, motor, transmission/clutch, brakes and other mechanical, electrical systems, etc...) as well as it's basic performance. I would just like to identify any items that need to be addressed, particularly anything that would be really expensive to fix. Unless something is really wrong with the car, I'm likely to buy it. One of my biggest problems is timing, I don't suppose you are available early tomorrow to take a look at it?

You can also call APC (Alfa Performance Connection) in Orange, about 20 min from Costa Mesa. I think they will do a prepurchase inspection at a reasonable charge. Their old number (still forwards) is 949-588-0500. They have done well for me over the years.

Thanks, I have someone lined up for tomorrow if for some reason they can't make it I'll give them a call.

Send a message via Yahoo to Norman Silverma
FYI:
Phil is one of our event Tech Inspectors as well as a lead instructor at our performance driving school. He is also modest about his competition skills.

Available for reviews

Dear Alfaman,
Thank you for your comment on my cooking skills. I am available to check out restaurants as well as cars if anyone is from out of town and needs a review.

I wonder if Phil's head will still fit into his helmet the next time he goes forth into battle on the treacherous tarmac. Unless of course he wears it while cooking, in which case the dilemma may present itself sooner.....
