Dan Sommers has a shop just south of Portland in Gevias. His cell number is 971-563-8576. I don't have the shop number, and I hope he doesn't mind me giving out hiis cell number. He is a long time Alfa mechanic, and an Alfa racer. I believe he is by appointment only.

Thanks

My regular mechanic is out of town for a couple of weeks so I thought I would give someone a try.

Much appreciated.

Who is your regular mechanic?

BTW:

In addition to Dan Sommers, I have also had good luck at The Jag Shop. Chris Cook and Craig Nelson are both Alfa factory trained and former RTGT employees.

Sorry but it sounds like you need someone now. We are currently booked several weeks in advance. Chris Cook is very good. I hired him at the GT shop in 1986 when I was the manager there. Besides we are located some 30 miles south of downtown PDX. However we are usually here for Saturday pick up and delivery.

I became an Alfa mechanic (factory trained) in 1973. we only work on Alfas.

DAN SOMMERS/ VELOCE MOTORS 503-274-0064

Ps. thanks for the referal George.

I'll give Chris a call

Thanks for the help. Nasko's Imports usually does my work, but since he is out of town I thought this might be a good time to try someone else.

Yet another 164 driver in PDX?

I keep seeing a couple of 164s for sale on craigslist, yet I don't recognize them as AROO members or from Track Day events.

So far I know of Dan, Marty, myself, a green '94, a red 164S at Gran Turismo, and a red 164S from around Salem. Plus a couple of parts cars undergoing dismantling.

pdx_164_driver, pehaps you might attend one of the AROO meetings and check us out? Then there might be more 164s in the parking lot than Milanos! Third Wednesday of the month at Buster's BBQ on SW Barbur Blvd/99W as it crosses I-5.

Mine is the red 164S with the red skirts, Momo rims, and tinted windows. Plus a matching red velour child's seat in back.

Sorry Mark. Marty has a Milano and a 164 as do I. Ya never know when Patrick will get a 164. maybe we should start an AROO 4door sub-club.

I'm filling out my membership form today for AROO and look forward to meeting other Alfa enthusiasts. Looks like the next meeting is June 20th. What time do you start?
