Saturday March 24 Track Day

AROO invites you to join us for our annual spring track day at Portland International Raceway on Saturday March 24.

Day of event registration is $150, and a second driver is only $55.

You must be a member of a recognized car club to participate, and have a Snell '90 or newer helmet. Roll bars are required on convertibles for open sessions. Prior track day or driver's training experience is encouraged. All enthusiast vehicles are welcome.

An affordable alternative is our "Fast Tours," which is approximately an hour of track time behind an expert driver in a pace car who will show you the line around the track. Roll bars are not required on convertibles (but helmets are) , and the cost is only $35.

I believe helmet rating in SA 95 or greater. SA 2000 minimum is coming soon.

Per the discussion at the BOD meeting of 3/7/07, this time around it is Snell 90 or newer "with strong encouragement" for Snell 95 or newer. It will definitely be changing soon.

Aw, I wish I could have been there. Though the weather wasn't the greatest, I'm sure it was still a blast. I intended on going; I had my car here and everything! But work piled up....

Had lots of fun on Saturday, dispite the rain...
I saw a couple of cameras out there, anyone know of any "official" pictures to view - online somewhere? Thanks, and looking forward to June. Mirko

Glad you had a good time. The AROO web site is still under construction, but there will be some photos in the next issue of the Alfa Bits, which will be out in early April.

Great job by everyone. Thank you all. The Viper drivers are pros. They were testing with AROO because they feel that we have the safest enviroment to work in . They mentioned that they will only run with our club and not other car clubs because of how we run our events. Remember that when you volunteer at our track days. You are the ones who make that happen.

I'm very interested in any pictures of a certain all-red 164S

They would be from the Intermediate, Fast Tours, or Alfa Only sessions.
162 miles, 8 sessions, and one tank of premium should have made for numerous photo opportunities.

I have a new office with bare walls, and I can't think of a better way to generate questions from my co-workers about my hobbies.
