Workshop/Storage Space - Kenosha Area?
All,
My wife and I are preparing to relocate to Kenosha. We have listed our house down here for sale and, with any luck, hope to be settled in our Kenosha condo by the end of Summer. My next challenge is finding a place to work on and store my Alfas as our condominium has only two parking spots per owner and would frown on my pulling engines out back. I put our realtor on the case, but thought it might also be a good idea to do a little networking among club members. (I'll be cross-posting this to the CAROC forum as well.)
What I'm looking for is a secure place to store and work on my cars. I'd like to rent a minimum of 800 sq ft (the rough equivalent of a 4 car garage) somewhere in Southeastern Wisconsin or Far Northeastern Illinois, the closer to Kenosha the better. Any thoughts or suggestions? Any existing hobby-oriented workspaces in the area?
Thanks in advance,

Workshop/Storage Space - Need Now More Serious
Well, now that you've had a chance to think about my predicament, or not, (see previous post) I'll ask again. Any leads on a workshop/storage space within range of Kenosha?
We've signed a contract for the sale of our house down here and if all goes well, we'll be permanent residents of Kenosha by Labor Day. I look forward to joining you for some events once we've settled in.
I have a running '69 Spider, a painted Giulia Super roller, a '95 164LS - if I don't sell it - and multi-boxes of parts and tools that will need a good home. Any and all thoughts and/or leads would be appreciated.
Best,
Bob A.

Think I have a space
Nothing like completing my own thread, but I'm now working on a rental space in Kenosha which I hope will fill my needs.
Regards,

Hey Bob -
Did you ever get the feeling that you were talking to yourself?

Gordy,
Yes, very much so. But I've had some pretty good conversations with myself over the years.
Anyhow, as you now know, we are moving, and soon. It will be retirement mode for me. Plenty of time to work on Alfas. Currently, though, I'm still wound pretty tight as our prospective home buyers are putting us through a short closing schedule and we are in no way really physically prepared to move. I have faith that all will work out, though.
Hope things are well with you.
Best,

Haha, I read this a few nights ago and was wondering if anyone had responded. I see Nicola beat me to it. However, there are Alfa owners in Wisconsin I assure you!
The Wisconsin and Chicago AROC chapters are having a track event at Road America October 17th and 18th. You should come out and meet the crowd! It's always a great event, and if you feel up for it Touring is $75. Road America has so many awesome events every year, I'm sure you're going to enjoy living so close! Good luck with your move and I look forward to (hopefully) meeting you sometime!

Hey Spencer,
Thanks for the heads-up on the Road America event. Hopefully by that time we'll be sorted out enough to enjoy a weekend up there.
Best,
