got one

I have bought a 1981 white Alfa Giulietta 213,000 km. Overall it seems in pretty good nick, there's a crack in the exhaust manifold and the headlights don't work (suspect electrical glitch), but other than that there seems to be minimal rust and relatively minor body imperfections. Drives well although the gearbox feels a bit rubbery.

I have also bought the Giulietta that David A advertised, and this will be my parts car for the white one, looking forward to working on the project from here on in.

motor

Still a work in progress!

I'm converting it to EFI and will be running a Haltech e11. I'm not far away from starting the wiring of the ECU, most of the mechanical stuff is all done. I've got quad TBs with throttle position sensor and running a fuel rail and injectors from an american spider which had the bosch motronic system. Also got a 36-1 trigger wheel which I had heat shrunk onto a machined lip on the crank pulley. The head on the car has also been reconditioned as compression was down. One thing I've learnt is that custom making stuff takes bloody ages and you will always encounter problems you didn't forsee such as stuff not quite fitting etc. Mind you I've been fairly anal trying to make stuff look neat so hopefully the end result will be ok, will post pics in time.
