What would you do for a 18 year old son's birthday?
Naturally he's after Australia's biggest and wildest party, but it isn't happening at our house
So I'm after suggestions, venues, etc.
Thanks
Pete

Is he a car nut like you? What about a driving course, like a Racecraft type thing that AROCA runs. The other I think I wanted to try was hire an abandoned factory or parking lot for a day and run a slow speed autocross/motorkhana. It's kinda pie in the sky but that would be the coolest thing ever. Or you could help him out with an Alfa......

Wow! a flashback- I had to beg my non -music loving parents to buy me one, i even had my sister beg them, finally they gave in, after 3 years i was playing every song i liked, When my parents friends asked them were i took guitar lessons they always turned red from embarassment because i wasn't.
So don't be my dad and buy your sons: The guitar, violin, bass, clarinet(!)drums he always wanted

Party has been and gone ... he already has the guitar, etc.

haha do what my dad did when I turned 18 last year and pay for most of my X19 engine rebuild! Best present ever!
so he wants a party hey? im not really into partying but from the few Ive been to dont hold it in your own home (particularly with alfa's around!) Some pubs have function rooms you can hire - maybe go down this path and pay for (some of) the tab? Might be a bit more expensive but much less of a hassle!
