Same time, same place
I'll weigh in and agree that long-term sustainability of this requires the same place and time every month. Change it every month and I'm afraid we'll start loosing participants to confusion. Keep it consistent, and it can become a habit.

I guess that's why Verizon keeps begging me to get get rid of my 4 year old phone (and get a new 2 yr commitment, no thanks). You have to come next month and see this car in person.

Thanks so much for the compliments on my car. I got lucky after about a year of shopping and happened to get exactly what I was looking for (after a few misfires). I'll be her caretaker for a long time! I think all the vehicles looked fantastic and was really happy to meet some fellow Alfa nuts and I'm looking forward to seeing your ride with a new headliner . I'll be there for sure on 6/7 with my brother in tow. He keeps talking about getting an old BMW. We need to set that kid straight!

alfa meet in austin
I just caught this thread. I would like to meet up with other Alfa owners.
My S3 Spider is in recondition mode now, not running but hope to have it back together this summer. It ran and drove OK but evrything leaked, so it's all coming out for a reseal and cleaning and a few upgrades along the way.

Peter,
It might be better if you do a distribution list, take it off the BB and send out meeting dates by enmail.?

I got the headliner back from the upholstery shop today. I'll have it in place on Saturday. My big problem now is the driveshaft. I think the spline at the center where the front and rear shafts come together is gone. Its driveable but I don't know for how long.

I will continue to use this thread also, but the distribution list is a good idea. I will create one, and add anyone who pm's me their email address

Monthly Meeting
I voted, but was not bright enough to subscribe to this thread.
John's note last month caught me by surprise; but we were going to Keels and Wheels in Seabrook. Val Herrera's Really nice Montreal was there and lots of other cool cars.
This month we're heading north to the Alfa Convention on June 7th (We want some extra time in Chicago and are taking the pre-convention FANGIO tour too.) We'll be back by the end of June as we will come back old Rte 66 in a leisurely fashion unless we sell the 164 at the convention. Then AmTrak <g>. . .
Might be able to make the July gathering. Meanwhile, Enjoy the few Keels and wheels photos.
Best Wishes,
Bernie and Diana

Next Meeting
Hey Guys,
I just caught this thread. I moved to Austin about 8 mos ago. I was actually at my workshop working on the Giulia getting ready to drive it 1150 miles to the convention next week so I missed last Saturdays gathering.
Anyone else from the area heading up to Chicago on Monday or Tuesday? Would be nice to have a caravan.
I'm def in for the July meeting. I have a 2000sf workshop in Leander with my 4 Alfas there and would gladly hold a tech/work day for a monthly meeting if anyone is interested. Or even if people wanted to gather there any other time to work on cars. I have most big shop tools like a press, welders etc.
Anyone interested in either?

I'll be down at my shop on Saturday doing some last minute things for the drive to Chicago if anyone else would like to come down and do some checks/work before the drive.
Shop is in Leander, TX. About 8 miles north of Austin, next town north of Cedar Park. PM me or reply here if interested.
