Superbowl Sunday morning drive Feb 7

Anyone up for a morning drive to Pt. Reyes Station on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 7)? I envision this as a short, informal drive from Berkeley to Pt. Reyes Station and back, getting pastry and coffee at the Bovine, etc. Back in time for the game (3:30, right) if that matters to you. Convene at 9 at Fellini's at University/Acton in Berkeley? Roads will be empty.

No requirement to come back to Berkeley; just show up at Fellini's at 9 if you want to go and go where you want from Pt. Reyes Station. So far got 5-6 interested Alfas and others.

Andrew

I'd much rather drive than watch football.

Hey, I resemble that comment...

I might be able to join in from the north. What time do you think you might land in Point Reyes?

In terms of timing, we East Bayers will meet at Fellini's in Berkeley at 9. I 'spect we'll hit the road at 9:30. I plan to go 580 to 101 to Lucas Valley Rd through Nicasio, then Pt Reyes-Petaluma Rd, which should put us in Pt. Reyes Station at 10:30, give or take.
Those coming from elsewhere (SF, Marin, Peninsula) can maybe coordinate with that timing? Lie in wait on Lucas Valley or Nicasio or just see you on the way? Intentionally not very structured.
Return route not sorted yet, and some say they're going on to other places, so it's pretty open from Pt Reyes Station.
Planning to go rain or shine.

Andrew

Sounds like fun - I may be able to join up in Farifax or Nicasio as I'll be coming up from SF. Have pick up points been set yet?

I'm game, don't know if I'll be able to get the Spider back together in time though.

Anyone going from or passing through the tri-valley that wouldn't mind a ride-along passenger?

Weather is looking reasonable for Sunday; bring out your Spiders! I invited Melee and Pedal Pushers folks to bring in non-Alfas.
I'll bring some maps highlighting the Lucas Valley Rd route for those who don't know it. Return route is up to you!

Anyone got pics or videos from this drive? I forgot my camera. If I remember right, we had:
* Giulietta Spider Veloce
* Giulia TI column shift
* Giulia Super
* Two 2000 GTVs
* Duetto
* 4-5 Bosch Spiders
* GTV6
* Milano
* Two Super wagons (one with windows, one without)
* BMW Bavaria at the off
* BWM 2002
* Series 2 Camaro SS

Great drive, beautiful day. Couldn't have asked for a nicer low-key outing. Thanks all who attended.

I shot exactly four pictures, none very good. I wish I had been thinking to take some pictures of the group as I waited my turn to pull into formation on Lucas Valley Road.

It was a beautiful day and my drive back up Highway 1 was great.

Andrew, thanks for the idea and the (admittedly minor) scheduling. It was good to meet some 'Alfa people' in person.

Link to my flicker set from the drive. Had a great time as well. That Camaro passed me after we came down the other side of Lucas Valley Rd; the sound took me back to high school.
