Someone to look at Alfa in Berkeley for me??

Hello fellow Alfisti !!
I'm hoping there is someone who could look at a GTV6 in Berkeley Cal for me. I would be happy to pay expenses.

Thanks,

I think Andrew (Watry) is in Berkely. He does tech for AROSC track: http://www.arosc.org/events/2008/tt_jun08.pdf (his contact info is in the event flier) - perhaps he even knows the car.

Look At Alfa in Berkeley

Hello,

I live very close to berkeley. I was just there yesterday at CAL. I would be willing to look at a GTV6 for you. I can take some pictures and email them along with any laundry list of items you would like me to pay special attention to.

Hey Mark !!
Yep, I got home from the Alfa rescue/convention/adventure !! 2,500 miles, only 1 [minor] brake failure !! Could'a been worse !!

It was great to hang with you and the Alfamily, a good time was had by us, eh?

Yeah, Cal car. I have a great client from Ct who wants a clean car to start with. This is a guy who will understand and appreciate the car. Don't get to drive this one back though, up to my elbows in restorations of a Montreal and 2 GTV6's. Much as I love the road [and the 'sight unseen' adventure], I need to stay in the shop and get cars done. Happy customers make for more roadtrips in the future !!!

So, it sounds like you got someone to check it out and you've bought it - is that right? GV

Well, CCHAN offered to look at it, and I have spoken for it based on a good report from him.

Alfa In Berkeley

Hi Glenn,

I looked at the GTV6 today and it is not rusty. Anthony said that he sent you pictures already so I did not take any. It is a driver and the condion is fair to good. If you are willing to put some $ into it for paint, dash, detail, and maybe some mechancial work( Parking Brake, trunk strut, etc), I drove it and it drives well, normal 2nd gear syncho, no smoke. I did only drive it for about 10 blocks and no freeway. The GTV6 is in better condition than my Alfa was before I restored it. If I was going to do another restoration project this would be a good candidate.

Hope this helps and I also called you when I was there and left a message. Good luck with your purchase.
