Proper way to report spam?

What are you supposed to write in that little box you get after you click report post. I just type in "spam" and hit report post.
Is there something more in-depth I'm supposed to write?

Simon recently provided guidelines for how he would like spam reported in post #5 and #7 of this thread. It appears clicking the button with "spam" in th emessage to him (but no posting in the thread) is sufficient.
