Three Alfas to star in Top Gear season opening

That's right.

There have been several episodes where the team tries out "affordable X", one memorable one featured Italian supercars - A Lamborghini Urraco, a Dino 308 GT4 and a Maserati Merak - all bought TOO cheaply and all horrendously unreliable...

In this episode, the team have bought a S3 Spider, a 75 (Milano) and a 916 series GTV. Each for less than £ 1000.

Here's a link to the Top Gear homepage

Looking forward to this episode - which is usually available the next day

Alfa is one thing these guys agree on: they love Alfa. I keep the tivo of the show where they compare the new Brera to an Audi and a Mazda RX8. After all of the objective tests are done, they all admit that despite everything they would much rather have the Alfa AND they would never encourage a friend to buy one. I showed it to my wife and will show it to any friends/visitors who start on about how much better their cars are...

Unfortunately, those of us on the other side of the pond won't be able to view it until next YEAR! BBC America is very slow to add new shows to our feed.

Aghevli,

That assumes that someone will put it up in the right sequence of takes, etc. I haven't had good luck with youtube versions of the TG. :-(

You can download them via Download music, movies, games, software! The Pirate Bay - The world's largest BitTorrent tracker, probably already the day after - that's this monday. That is what I'm planning to do, as it won't air in Denmark until winter. Of course, when they do I'll watch them again

If you've got a bitTorrent client, you can usually download the episodes (in original format) from finalgear.com

Can anyone confirm that the alfa challenge is actually in episode 1 ?

The final gear review doesn't mention any alfas

No, it's definitely not in episode one of season 11. The first episode is on youtube, although it takes a little bit of searching to find all 6 parts.

In the 1st episode, the challenge is to turn 3 cheaply bought cars into suitable police cars. After all, how hard can it be? Quite hard it turns out, and very funny.

Just finished watching the first episode

No "cheap" alfa challenge in Episode 1 as mentioned but did spot this in the season 11 montage

I just looked them up on the Web, but couldn't find their pricing info. How much do they charge for the download?

Brad,

I've actually never done it myself, so I don't know. I've just heard on these interwebs that finalgear is the place to go. I have a love/hate relationship with Top Gear, so I tend to take it as it comes vs. searching it out...

Best of luck!

I don't think AlfaMale is familiar with the world of torrents and P2P. :-)
