Snake on the wall!

For anyone who is wondering what happened after this:
http://http://www.alfabb.com/bb/foru...-tale-woe.html, here's the rest of the story.
Basically we spent huge bucks updating a 60 year old garage (no outlets, one light bulb). After all that, I decided to add an appropriate decorative feature, specifically my avatar (the Italian flag with Alfa snake). So first I painted the tricolore on one wall. It takes like 7 coats of red to work. Then I found a nice version of the snake, printed it out on graph paper and commenced to cypherin'. Once I figured out the scaling, I snapped graph lines onto the wall and transferred the drawing, square by square, to the wall in pencil. Then just filled it in with black latex... very carefully, pretty much freehand on the curves to stay in the lines and masked on the straights. Two coats. Then cleaned off the grid lines and pencil sketching. All done: stand back and admire. Might not be Michaelangelo, but it turned out just like I'd imagined and I can't ask for better than that. And the spider seems to run better, too.

That is entirely too cool.

Nice work.

Nice Job! Reminds me of my friend's old garage - he had painted the whole thing white with a red/white/green stripe around the perimeter and on the inside of the garage door was the giant Abarth scorpion symbol (he has an Abarth). If I owned my garage, I'd probably do the same sort of thing...
