.... You date yourself.
The PC renamed it "Little Bighorn National Monument" a few years ago.
(That is if you are talking about that piece of federal land SE of Billings, MT?)

Western NC has so many nice roads it's hard to choose. Here is a few picked at random.

I think it was PC originally, to name the battle field after the losing, incompetent commander.

Wow, great response. I'll have to make a chart showing where theses roads are, so I can do sections of them when I'm in those areas. Seeing all that smooth asphalt makes me realize how rough we have it here in Maine.
Any more??

Mt. Tamalpais
Here's another one I hit on the way home from the Snowball Rally this weekend (BTW: lots of great roads in the Sierras): The road up to Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. The road is amazing - often used for car commericals - but on a nice day like we had yesterday, the view from the summit is the bonus for weaving your way to the top

No, I'm talking about South Dakota (even though we did drove to The Little Big Horn battlefield from Long Island) - you know , the vicinity of Rushmore, the Needles etc where there all the corkscrew turns and backwards turns .

I haven't been on it in a GTV since the summer of 1969, but I still remember the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

That stretch of HWY 58 has some serious whoop-de-doos - the Lunch-Losing kind!
I remember reading an article in Road & Track about the favorite roads of some famous drivers. I think it was Phil Hill who liked HWY 198 between Coalinga, CA and US 101. I've driven it in a Ford Galaxie, but not in my Alfa yet. I also highly recommend this road!
I also agree with sfalfa about Sierran roads. The stretch of HWY 49 between Mariposa and Coulterville is fantastic!

Id definitely recommend Highway 243 and 74. All the roads around Idyllwild are fun to drive, especially at night when the traffic thins out. Pretty sure there are only 2 sheriffs for the entire area.

I can't post some pics but this set of straights and twisties is only a few minutes from home.
Google Maps onto -U B C Vancouver- and the arial views are good and Marine Drive goes along the top of the bluff above the famous "Wreck Beach" -- a nude beach.

LOL. That's news to me. However, nobody beats, 'Mother Motorola', speed of light Police radios and only one exit at the bottom of the mountain!

Ah, I see. You threw me off with your referral to Custer NATIONAL Park. The one in SD to which you refer, I believe is a STATE Park. I googled it, and the website extols the twisty and scenic drive. I'll have to check it out next time I'm driving that direction.
