Armored ALFA sedan: What is this?

My wife and I were at our friend's house last weekend glomming Chinese take out, and the conversation eventually turns to my other great passion. When my friend's wife hears of it, she smiles and states matter-of-factly, "Oh yes, Alfa Romeo- yes, I know of them, I drove an armored Alfa in Greece back in the 80's when I was in the Air Force. Bullet proof glass and doors all around- terrorist were active over there back then you know." She could not recall then name or model but produced a picture from a photo album. I did not recognize it and want to tell her what she drove and a little bit about it. Can anyone help?

Look for the word "Blindatta". I think it means "armored" They were mostly Alfa 6s, which were sort of heavy even before any armor was installed.

Its a 90, but there were armored Alfetta sedans, Seis, and 90s built by independents throughout the 70's and 80's. You'll find most in places like Greece and Israel, but there would be some in Italy too.

Armored Alfas were built by Boneschi, FONTAUTO, Grazia and Repetti & Montaglio amongst others. Most of these firms also built armored vans on Fiat Ducato platforms for many of Italy's financial institutions.

Repetti & Montaglio also fitted out cars for various branches of the Carabineri and Polizia Municipale in the 80's
