My '83 Spider is almost road-worthy again.....tonight I installed the new clutch slave cylinder and put the glovebox back together. Advice for anyone trying the former: get some jackstands and a jack, or (PREFERABLY) a lift or something like that....and a helper or two!!!!! GAHHHH.........I did the entire job with the car on the floor, and with no one else around. :/ But everything's together now, I just need an assistant for bleeding the system (but just lemme get my hands on a speed-bleeder and I wouldn't even need anyone for that!

).
But I'm tellin' ya, she keeps taking my money. I thought the $30-something I just spent on intake runner hoses and fuel injector hose was the last of expenses before putting everything back together and driving again, but I just had to get an alternator (and got lucky on a barely-used unit for $100), and will probably replace the motor mounts ($70+) while I have the intake plenum out, on the advice of someone here who said my driver's side mount looks shot........and let's not forget an oil change and refilling the coolant system, which I should probably do before putting too many more miles on it. Oh yeah, and I reeeeaaaally need to get those silicone vacuum hoses for both the intake stuff and the oil separator equipment....$160'ish. Oh my.
Ehhh well, still cheaper than a girlfriend......I think????
