Since they did do it back in the 70's I suppose it's possible,
though in this case, it can be a nice practical joke...

I didn't see the car lean when he gives it a good punch.

It´s not a joke!
As I could find out, someone in the 70's want an Alfetta Gt whith the Montreal engine fitted to race in Germany.
So, Autodelta made 20 of theese cars, 5 wore to a german racer, another 5 to another german racer and 10 to a german dealer to sell!

Kind regards
Carlos Vaz

OK, 1st, the video's from my first post, is not real, its just my 2L GTV, with sounds mix in.

2nd. The GTV8, What or wich gearbox did they use?

3rd. Does any one have the spec's on the motor?

4th. Is it save to say that the Sud dash fits in the GTV?

Thanx

P.s 2nd & 3rd, is for the road car, not the rally/race/bomba.

What I know but have not verified in any of the books I have is that the engine is straight from the Montreal and the gearbox is standard Alfetta GTV - on the street model - Autodelta made 2-3 racing versions "La bomba".
The German dealer at the time ordered 10 to 20 examples of the street version but noone can verify either the exact number or where the cars are today.
Is it my eye or the drivers door on the black and white picture appears to be in a different shade ?
Takis.

Alfetta GTV with a 3.0 litre V8 engine

Autodelta rallied an Alfetta GTV with a 3.0 litre V8 engine, derived from the 2.6 litre V8 of the Alfa Romeo Montreal coupé and sharing the same mechanical fuel injection by Spica. It had been suggested to produce 400 roadgoing versions of this model for homologation but this plan was abandoned as well.

In 1980 the Alfetta GTV Turbodelta was already homologated in FIA Group 4, since the required number of production cars had been built. A racing version was campaigned in rallies, but once more the effort was abandoned after a single season, despite scoring a win at the Danube Rally.
