console - different

thanks Roadtrip!
I now have many more suppliers to check out.

I have a 1973 Alfa Spider. I am looking to replace the most of the interior dash and console pieces as they have cracked and deteriorated over time.

Has anyone come across the console openings being different for the fan / defrost switches? The ones I have seen offered for sale show 3 identical rectangle openings (above the cig tray) my Spider has 2 rectangle openings on either end but also 2 small square openings and a circle opening between the 2 larger rectangle fan switches.

Is there a name for my different console? Any advice to help me track down this part would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
Rob

I've been buying from Rayce for years. Prices are good and very helpful. Easy online ordering.

Alfa Parts in Berkeley?

My Spider came with some receipts for parts purchased from Alfa Parts in Berkeley, CA. I don't see them on this thread. Has anyone had any dealings with them? And it's Alfa Parts on 4th Street, not Alfa Romeo Parts on San Pablo.

I found them at alfapartscatalog.com but with their prices I see why they are not listed here: e.g.: fuel tank sender unit for spider :$162 vs $42 from centerline. OUCH!

Yes, you are talking about the Alfa Parts Catalog, and they are an official Alfa factory representative, and one of the few places were you can get true and hard to find OEM parts. They are a very reputable outfit. As far as their prices, I would not go by what is on their web site. For example, the 14x6 5-star Veloce wheel is listed at over $382. When I called to order one last year the price was $232...

Best regards,

Thanks for the list. I've been looking for two years for an Abarth Exhaust System for my 1971 MGB. Hope your list can assist.

Re: alfaromeo-garage.com

Haven't heard of them before but for the prices they list, sure wish someone has something good to say. Not sure how up-to-date the list prices are but the site's Terms of Service page lists "Last updated 04 Jan. 07". One would hope the product section has been refreshed more recently. The website also lists the following:

Rainfern Ltd.
56 Thorton Close
Pelton
Chester-le-street
Co Durham
DH2 1QH
United Kingdom

anything similar to alfaholics, this side of the pond?

Am picking up my new (to me) 74 gtv this weekend, and of course I want to throw some $ at it. I like alfaholics, but was wondering of there is anything similar in the US, where I do not have to get shafted on the exchange rate. my upgrades will go in order of
1. brakes
2. suspension
3. interior
4. exhaust
located in the bay area
thanks in advance for the reply

Thanks,

Johnny
