Do you mean for use on the convert window or the paint? If you mean for the plastic window, I have another vehicle that I used someones scratch remover on and it did basically nothing.

If they're deep scratches down to the primer or metal, the scratch remover will do nothing. If it's a very shallow scratch, it "should" work similar to a polish.

I'd suggest that if you use rubbing compound on paint, I'd make sure it is the polishing compound (fine white stuff) and not the abrasive rubbing compound. Even then I'd go easy so as not to take off too much paint.

There are many abrasive detailing polishes that will remove scratches.

Other products, commonly called glazes, act as fillers and will make smaller scratches much less noticeable.

When polishing, the general rule is to start with the least abrasive compound and see if it does the job. If not, try a polish one step more abrasive. Repeat the process until you find one that will do the job.

If you've used an abrasive polish, you will probably need to go over the car with a less abrasive polish as a second step to remove swirl marks caused by the first polish. Then use a glaze followed by a wax.

Joe's advice is on the money. I prefer to spend more time with a finer abraisive as it's a drag to go too far (this is a huge understatement). Try one of the major brands. If you go to a good store, the guys will look at your paint, and recommend the right product. Just remember not to "camp out" in one small spot.
