I'm not getting any spam... and sure hope that it's not a trend that's just starting.

Best regards,

Spam covered in egg and cooked on a pan is "oh so good"!

Spam in private message boxes, not so much.

If it's coming via PM and ending up in your PM box as a message here, it's another member, not a random spammer drifting through.

However if it's only hitting your email in your sort-n-file (if you've got that set up) but no actual factual PM mesage on the forum, then it really is just spam.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Forwarded to you. It was in my PM box Maybe I should leave Alfas out of my Sig. I'm not actively looking for any more. Believe me, I have enough projects now It would be different if I had stated I was looking for a specific auto and someone forwarded info to me. This was completely unsolicited. We have all seen the "Spam" threads with someone trying to sell something, or drive hits to their site. But this was targeted. And if this is the beginning I really see no way to stop it. Now of course I could be wrong, even though I doubt it. It might have been a well meaning PM I just don’t know where in my Sig someone would think I'm looking for a $200K vehicle LOL

P.S. The vehicles in my Sig. are my son's cars for when they get older. In a few years decent ones will be hard to come by. And I want them to be able to have the same fun and enjoyment I presently experience without forking over starter home funds. I'm just a caretaker of sorts I cant begin to express the pride of watching my 4yr old lay out cardboard and spray the intake accordion with carb cleaner today, as I replaced plugs, cap and rotor. Even though he soaked himself more than anything else.

The thought of a 4 year old kid soaking himself with carb cleaner does not give me the warm fuzzys.

Interesting. I noticed this guy, topautogallery, was listed as out latest member last night about 10pm cdt.

Just seems more and more of these a** hats are joining BB's and other specialized sites just to sell their wares and mess with us. I am a member of a number of professional, hobbie, and special interest sites and its happening on all of them. Instead of acting like legitimate, reputable businesses, they are con-men.

Its too bad we have lost that respect for each other that came from face-to-face interaction. Its hard to hide behind your eyes when your looking into someone elses...

Well if a spammer has successfully signed up there is no stopping them from sending PM's.

This guy however has been banned. Thanks for pointing him out and letting me know.

Perhaps you don't remember door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesmen. Not that I appreciate spammers, either.

At least with the door-to-door set you could physically lay hands on them.
