Award for ALFABB

Fellow alfisti,

I'm about to give up, and am turning to you for a last effort.

My wife wants the milano verde gone, but I want to keep it. She is even willing to give it away for free - it's a nice clean sorted out verde. There are pics in the for sale section in the callaway/verde thread of mine from Nov/Dec last year.

Basically, we have 5 cars (2 Saab 9-5 for daily commuting, and 3 Alfas: gtv6 callaway, milano verde, 164Q). We have a 3 car garage holding 3 cars, my wife's wagon and 2 Alfas. Hence, 2 cars in the drive way. My wife doesn't like that, nor does she like having to drop and pick up the milano from the shop when it needs attention (however infrequent it may be) - don't have time to do much mech. work myself anymore (work and 14 month old son). Before I got the Q, the plan was actually to bring the, then, 4 cars to 3. Instead, it went to 5 , I know, not good tactics, and I do understand my wife, to some extend...

Here's the deal: If you guys can jointly convince my wife that we should keep the milano verde, I will donate $100 to the ALFABB. She needs to be truly convinced that we should keep it, otherwise it will have to go. Please sent your emails to her (she's unaware of this last effort) at judy.liao@cox.net You have until Sunday Feb 1, midnight. I suppose emails from spouses in a situation similar to her could be particular convincing. No death threats, please.

Please help...

Jes

AR4me - my wife will take your wife's 9-5 wagon and then your wife can drive the Milano. Problem solved. (Unfortunately, that would put me at six cars, two in the garage, one on the side of the house under a canopy and then three on the driveway.)

2nd choice: Do you have access on the side of your house? If so, buy a canopy like I did and park your Milano under the canopy.

3rd choice: Lease the Milano to someone with the thought of eventually getting it back.

Good luck!

Sniady,

Your proposal is probably the most acceptable to my wife, but...

Alfa63, Lucky you, your wife would accept a 6th car? If it is for her, I suppose it may work. Unfortunately, our home owner assoc is a bit of a pain, so cars must be in garage or drive way. I was actually considering, if it would be possible to extend the garage (3->6), but am sure the home owner assoc would not approve any such additions.

Anyone knows how much storage of cars typically runs?

Jes
