OK Who is driving a 166 in New York?

From Jalopnik via The Car Connection. An older, looks like a non AutodeltaUSA 166 was spotted in New York Yesterday. PA plates.

Whats the story if there is a story?

Dave

Lowmileage,
He's asking about the 166, not a 1966...

Dave,
This is a "new" one... We do spot an ocassional Alfa, but they always have diplomat's plates... PA plates is a different story... Hmmm, wondering if this is one of the ones that is here to "test" the market.

Best regards,

Actually that Alfa in the picture is not a "new" model. That was the body style from 1998 to about 2001.

My bet is that it is registered, with a little shenanigans to the ID plates, as a 1995 164. Most people in the USA have no idea what an "Alpha Row Me Oh" is.

I guess I should hide my 156 and Brera now. Maybe I should buy something more common, like a Ferrari or something.
