Hold your horses, I will have a pic as soon as my computer stops yanking my chain

But most of the Hercules QX series engines have a cooling fan mounted to the front. I have a 1959 Chris Craft with a 2.4L L6, no cooling fan, but hey, difference?

During the 1950's ANSALDO exported a reasonable number of tracked tractors to South America and Australia .
ANSALDO model TC60 and TC70 were 4 cylinder models powered by ALFA ROMEO model 1624 ,6330 cc engines.there was a later heavier and more powerful model ANSALDO AF8 using the ALFA ROMEO 6 cylinder engine which was a whopping 12.5 litres , could this be a version of the engine currently for sale? any thoughts!

Here are a few more photos of the Ansaldo-Fossati TCA/70 . The one with the lady at the wheel gives a good idea of size.

Wink "Crank 'er up!"

Umm? Your supposed to start that monster with a hand crank?? And it's a diesel with maybe 20 to one compression? Whew! Not this old boy! Not even with my eyes on the pretty lady.

Gordon,

I don't know about you, but unless the lady is a midget and I'm being fooled by the scale, I doubt I could even see over the top of the radiator while I was cranking the handle

Still, they look fun - almost as much as my dad's old Ransome's sit-on lawnmower (complete with drip-feed lubrication!)
