Well, the back story is when setting up my first email account my 2 sons said " You must have a personalized name" to use. They kind of picked it because at the time I was shooting sporting clays every weekend. When I joined here, I just didn't feel like straining my brain to come up with a new Alfa related handle. This one has been stuck on me for quite awhile now.
Best Regards,
Paul

Used to be Fiat Doc years ago but then along came the 164 and I switched over. My friend Joel now in CO already was using Alfa Doc so I settled on Male gender Alfisto after he told me Alfista was fem version and I knew Alfisti meant many many of us Alfaholics.

Mine came from years ago, when I had a body shop specialising in metal fabrication and restoration- and I played heavy metal music professionaly, hence Heavy Metal Auto. When I got my life changing chance to buy my first Alfa [red 86 GTV6] 10 years ago, it changed to Heavy Metal ALFA.. And yes I still play heavy metal and hard rock- loud !!
Huh, what did you say? Could you speak louder ??

sptsdn = Sport Sedan
Technically have two Sport Sedans, a 1978 Alfa Romeo Sport Sedan and a 2004 SAAB 9-3SS (Sport Sedan).

Hmmmmm.... Let's see.
1) I drive a 84 Spider
B) I'm not very imaginative.
Actually I was new at picking one of these internet "handle" thingies when I signed up on the BB. Elsewhere on the the "internets" I go by markie_red (among other names). Thank goodness for the list of names and passwords on the palm pilot. In college I had a roommate by the name of Mark. The people who shared our hallway and dinner tables gave me, the red-head, that name. My roommate was called Markie Black. The Markie Red stuck with me. By the way if your name is spelled M-a-r-c, don't go by Marcie-Red. Dosen't come out right.

I also use my real name, Gordon Raymond, because those I deal with know me to be a 100% OK & honest guy. "My name is my word". I've been involved with Alfas for 40+ years, and my name has a good reputation tied to it. I also sometimes go by "275gordon", want to guess my other car/ passion?
Best, Gordon

Nothing magic here, really, just convenience. No way my little brain can remember different user names at all the online places I log in. Since "Rob Martin" is apparently trying to take over the world, I use a user ID from an old contracting job that hasn't been pre-empted anywhere yet.
"R" is the first initial, "X" means they didn't know my middle name, "MAR" is the first 3 char's of my last name, and "23" means that I was the 23rd Rob Martin, Ricardo Martinez, Roberta Martinelli, etc. employed there.

Mine has nothing to do with drinking Coors Light.
when I bought my car from the original owner, he told me what he called the car.....the silver bullet.
when you adopt a child or even a dog, you don't change it's name. Same with a car......so that's what I call the car.
