Thanks, I may be interested in sending my 147 GTA back in a few years....I'm in Singapore but from the US. This is a cool idea.

Don't get your hopes up. You can't bring one in.

I'd be cheaper and faster to move to Europe than fight the EPA on this one.

My point!!!
That is exactly my point!
I DO NOT intend to break any rules, laws nor legislations, I just want to work with them! I am sure there could be a way to bring one of these cars in, it's just a matter of finding a way to.....
Regards,

Sure, you can bring one of the Alfas in to the US. It would be one piece at a time.

He got in trouble for not doing it correctly.
This isn't impossible, but the issue is that it would cost something more than $10k to do it on a $25k car.
Spending $30k on a $300k McLaren isn't quite so bad.

A business partner of mine imported his 24 3/4 year old mini into the US. He actually sweet talked the customs inspector into letting him have the car because it didn't meet the 25 year old rule. She wanted him to send it back to england, and reship it when it got old enough.

I wish I knew someone who knew the engineering around crash and crash structures, as I think I know enough to make it pass emissions laws...
but that would be a conflict of interest for me right now.

So does anybody have any idea how much it would cost to import a new(ish) Alfa into the US?

$$$$$$4
From the information I am gathering, it should be just paperwork to TEMPORARY import a vehicle for a NON RESIDENT (Antonio??) for a period of 1 year. I may go to the US from Mexico and would like to take my car (and the race Alfa) and they fall under the temporary class.
I have several friends from the US who live in Mexico and have their cars like this here......ofcourse they don't have nor Alfas nor Vochos (old bettles).
I'll let you know next year if the offer I have materializes and I am able to cross the bridge.......
Regards,
