Question Shipping an Alfa

Wondering what experiences any of you have had shipping your Alfa long distance. Open carrier or enclosed (expensive). Car is not a convertible so no worries about top damage from oil leaks from above. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

Buy something there Jimmy?

One point to remember is lets say you buy a California car and you live in Florida doesn't mean that when transported to you, it won't go thru a snow belt when getting to you (this time of year) and therefore see salt.
Sometimes the difference in open vs. enclosed trailer really isn't that significant when compared to the price of the car. I went thru this decision but fortunately it turned out the seller of my car lived within 20 miles of me

Shipping an Alfa

David,
Shipping from either upper Midwest or New England to FLA. Looking at 2 scenarios.
If anyone wants to PM me with some experiences with a particular shipper please feel free to do so.

Jim,

You may want to review this post on the same subject: My Alfa is Lonely! My reply and experience (all good) with the carrier are in post #4.

Best regards,
