Car covers - Which one do you recommend?

Hi all,

This might have been discussed before. If you can link to a previous threat, please do so ...

In the meantime, I am curious to see what car covers (Maker and fabric choice) you recommend:

For inside use only - I like the cotton/ flannel type the best but would be willing to go synthetic (i.e. California Car Cover seem to have only synthetic). FYI, the car has a fairly new, fairly excellent paint job

For covering it up during the Monterey weekend (Don't think I will have inside parking space) - Probably a lighter outside cover? How do you guys deal with this?

Thanks much,

Mike

I've been very happy with the Noah fabric and the fit of the covers I've bought from California Car Cover. The fabric keeps the morning dew off the car quite well and hasn't put any fine scratches (that my old eyes can find) on the car.

I am also happy with the Noah covers I have gotten from California Car Cover. The material is a good all around compromise, not the best at anything but decent at everything. I have also used various permutations of the Evolution 3/4 fabric over the years too, but that material breaks down under heavy UV exposure and you end up with a layer of linty dust on your car every time you use the cover.

The NOAH covers seem to last here in the PNWest. The price is right at carcovers.com and they charge 25% less than others; plus the shipping is free. Just ordered my ninth cover from them.....

I've had NoAH cover on my '74 GTV for 5-6 years and it's great. I keep the car indoors mostly so it only occasionally sees rain if I'm away from home with it or the garage has anoter project going on. It's a perfect fit and very well made. I got it from Big Sky, and they were great to deal with (even asking about particular variations on the GTV, like how many mirrors and whether there was an antenna that needed a hole).
