Mine is going on tomorow, it shouldn't be hard to remove the remains of the stock one, I have a feeling it will crumble in my hands.

Thanks, that sounded great! Ok, I've been convinced. I will order one soon, have to get a few other things done first though.
Edit: I had seen that thread a long time ago but never knew you had posted the sound clips.
Thanks again,
Andy

I've got mine on, still have a very small leak at one of the manifold flanges (old gasket that is rusted onto the cast iron, needs a file.) It sounds sweet, still having issues with it rubbing the pedal box. I think I can get it to clear, its just going to take some more work. Its a nice piece and should be a great fit on the cars that it was designed for (the hanging pedal cars.) I did notice the car seems to have better power.

Thanaks for the feedback Will.
It's odd because some floor mounted pedal cars are having no problems and others are very tight requiring a little modification. How are your motor mounts? Maybee its just every car is a lil different.

The motor mounts don't look bad, but they are at least 30 years old. The space between the pedal box and the pipe is very close, perhaps 1/8 inch. It clatters on start up, and when I'm sitting at a stop light with the clutch in. Its not much when its warm, but still there, I can feel it in the pedals. Its also really close behind the front seat. I used a screwdriver to push it away from this point while everything was loose, then tightened everything up. It seems to have moved back a little. I also seem to get a standing sound wave that reverberates though the car at 4k rpm. Again I think its due to something rubbing somewhere. It doesn't always occur but when it does, it drowns all other sound out. It does sound really good when everything is away from the body however. I still have the exhaust leak at the 4-2 junction, but I can't get to it as my hood cable snapped. I haven't had a chance to order another one, and don't want to pull on the 4 strands left without having a new one.

It's possible that the tubing is just ever so slightly different as well. I know with what we do for a living the tubing is all over the place. I know Magnaflow is going to have top of the line bending machines but there are still natural variances even in "perfect" parts.
I am due to put mine together on the next couple weeks but I won't have the pedal box to worry about as it will be on the 71.
I'll get pics up when it's done.

I had a similar clearance issue on the center support. I found the best way was to have the system all mounted up and loose, then I placed small wood wedges in wherever there was a question of clearance. Then I proceeded to tighten everything up and removed the wedges. Worked out great. Give it a try.

That is exactly what I was doing. I just needed bigger wedges. I'm sure I'll get it the next time I pull it apart (to fix the leak at the front).

OEM or aftermarket headers for your Magnaflow?
I have purchased one of the Magnaflow exhaust systems to mount to my '67 Duetto, which has a high performance 2L engine installed. While I still have to revisit my exhaust port diameters, and the ID of the stock cast iron exhaust manifold, and determine if aftermarket headers or customer headers may be more appropriate....I am curious to know what other Magnaflow purchasers have mated to their systems?
It sounds like the majority thus far responding have mating the new exhaust system to the stock (2L) cast iron manifolds. Is this a good match? Who has gone the additional step to add headers as well? Did you purchased/use the additional kit pieces that Simon has available, or did you perform custom cut/weld jobs on your own?
What type of headers are you using, and why? I've tried to do a search on headers for 4 cylinder vehicles here on the BB and haven't pulled up much of anything.
Sorry to sorta hijack the thread, though this is a necessary part of the total exhaust system...and given the investment in the mid/back part of the exhaust that the Magnaflow system covers...I want to ensure I get front part chosen properly as well.
