misalignment was still noticable when system was installed, just prior to final tightening, looks ok after tightening and first drive, and gasket still works, for a first run, low production, undertaking, anything less than a few returns should be considered excellent, and from my experience I wouldn't expect any returns.

Pics of GTV install
Pics as promised. I got it out for a drive today and am very happy. Sounds fantastic! Nothing knocking around underneath so far, though when I retighten everything after a few drives I may tweak it a bit to get the tip perfectly centered in the body cutout. I had initially thought about cutting the tip off at an angle like the OE one, but I think I'll leave it square. Looks good to me.

Here's a photo of the flanges looking down. I have annotated it to show where I used the thicker gasket (which is only about half as thick as it looks here, the pic is a little misleading).

Hello Simon,
Sorry to be so long in replying, but I was on a fishing trip in Campbell River, BC
No! Unfortunately I'm a long way from Calif. However, the Junior Z shares the same floor pan as the 1300 G T, (I believe!)....and I have access to a TIG welder. If it's not a massive modification on the GT, it should be feasible..?
Yes?
Cheers, Adrian

Adrian,
Where are you located? If you are local perhaps we could hook up and see how it fits.
On a side note lets see some pictures of a King Salmon or a Big Steelhead that you landed.

Nice install pictures there Jeff!!!
Thanks for the update.
To answer some demand we have made additional attachments for those with single outlet headers. The additional pieces replace the front section that normally connects to the stock headers.
The new pieces are 50.00usd and may need to be shortened depending on the length/contour of your headers.
Anyone interested drop me an email or PM by clicking on my user name.

We installed the first header adapter kit last week and it worked out perfect. Really simple to install. The car sounds and performs great now.

I am very happy with the system. After some initial difficulty getting the flange planes to match my headers (solved by scratching my head and then using a different gasket), everything went together in a couple of hours and fits perfectly. I think my header issue is probably some variation in the factory pieces over the years (mine have been replaced and are not a matched set), but even so it was easy to fix once understood.
The system looks great and sounds even better - louder than the OEM system that I replaced, but not obnoxious on the road (a tad loud in a garage, though).
I polished the tip on my system using various grades of emery paper and a buffing wheel. I'd have rather had this done for me, as it's a lot of work and my results are not as good as the factory could have done.
Summary: great system, excellent price tag, and I'd love an option to pay a few bucks more for a factory polished tip (I might even pay something to get one for my existing system).

As mentioned in an earlier reply to this thread, we just today conducted a few dyno runs on my '67 GT Sprint Veloce with great results. The baseline is a freshly built performance oriented 1600 with GTA headers. I ran on the dyno early Dec '05 with a Super Sprint system in place of the new Magnaflow system. The results are as follows:
Peak HP increased from 100.70 to 103.07
Peak torque increased from 95.17 to 97.74
@6450 rpm HP increased from 73.82 to 79.56 and torque from 87.56 to 94.83
Look at the attached graph to see the overall difference.
This test is a true test of before and after installation of the Magnaflow system!

Are these setups still avalable? My stock exhaust has more holes in than I can shake a stick at. They are small but still there. I have a crack or hole in all the resonators and mufflers as well as the lower portion of the manifold, and the pipes. It blew all kinds of rust and acorns and other stuff that shouldn't be in there out when I first started it.
Thanks,
Will
