A little history

Some of you have recently seen a new member Ross Durant post about Alfa parts for sale. I am buying a few little pieces from him. I had a short e-chat with him about his experience with Alfas, since I was cautious about buying parts from a stranger. He raced a Sprint Zagato at Sebring in 1962. Here are two links to that car...

He was an Alfa dealer in Florida at one time as well.

I thought it might be interesting to some of you.

Very interesting! It would be great to hear more about the history of this car and its owner.

I may have that wrong - I've seen it called an SV, with the long tail and additional side glass. Mr. Durant has quite a history at Sebring, among other places, in the late 50's and 60's - racing Alfas on the same track as Bondurant, Gurney, Hill, Bonnier, Grossman, Miles, Cunningham, Moss, Ginther, etc, etc. Pretty impressive, beat the Vettes, finished 1st in class, 11th overall in '62, in a 1300!

I'll send him this link - maybe he could fill us in with more detail.

I think that's the coolest Alfa I've ever seen.
