My "new" car

We only had one car for both my wife and myself, so I started shopping. I am awaiting the Luzzago auction in Brescia next week to see if I have won the 1955 Giulietta Sprint normale column shift car, S/N oo159, but needed something in the meantime.

I bought the following:
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 door GL berlina
white
almost mint condition
5-speed
air
roll up windows
AM/FM casette
car weight 2400 pounds
horsepower 105
mileage 74,000
never hit or damaged, other than a few minor scratches
It drives kind of like a 105 Giulia berlina, except that it is front wheel drive...it's actually closer to driving a Fiat 128 berlina with the bigger motor, but those are now almost impossible to find; especially in a place like SLC, Utah....

I paid $1000 UNDER wholesale Kelly Blue Book, or $3500, all taxes and license and documentation fees included!!

I found a 2000 Audi TT Quatro in red in MINT condition, with 60,000 miles, for $17,000 out the door, but didn't want to spend that much until I know the results of the Luzzago Auction.

Congrats on the purchase, Stu! That is a very practical little car.

What condition is the Sprint coupe in? With numbers this low, would there be a chance that this could be one of the cars made on the wood bucks before the car got into serious production?
I wanted to bid on the 6c2500 but only in my dreams. Makes me wish I still had my 6c2500SS Touring.

Christopher

It is a very early, small headlamp normale with column shift in sky blue; a VERY EARLY production car with matching numbers, and is somewhere between club concours and Pebble Beach condition, and it has NEVER BEEN RESTORED!!!

There are many interesting Alfas up for auction on the 25th at Luzzago in Brescia; from modern back to 6c2500. You can bid by mail or phone.
