In HS I spun my Dad's '73 Bronco on an icy freeway, hit the guardrail and folded the front bumper. We wrapped a chain around the bumper end and a big telephone pole, put it in low low reverse, and backed the dent right out.
Lessee...I gave away a '67 Super once, in about 1985. Didn't look like Osso's sweet red one, but I regret it somewhat. I lived in an apartment and had nowhere to work on it.
In HS again, I saw a sweet, steel blue '67 Austin Healey 3000 on a used sports car lot on Broadway in downtown Denver (Next to the old Ferrari dealer if anyone remembers that spot). It was just a 10 yr old used car, not many miles, for $2500. Had the redline Michelin tires, wires, perfect seats. $2500 might as well have been a million at the time...oh well.
(That's the same dealer I used to ride my bike to in jr high and watch the salesmen drive away in new Daytonas - they had several, some outside)
