I dont want to work.... I just want to bang on the drum all day!!!!
Hello All,
I thought this thread was interesting so I decided to share....
I have my own business that I started it a few months ago. Prior to making my own way...... I was a Financial Advisor for a medium sized investment brokerage/sub advisory firm.
Oddly enough, my business has nothing to do with Finance at all.... friends of mine tend to make fun of me because I have a degree in Finance..... which I used to hold on a high pedestal.
I actually started a business as a Personal Trainer. I travel to client's homes..... OR hold hours at Fitness Clubs where I am affiliated. It wasnt too bad..... The real pain was going to school for all the physiology..... and certifications so I could practice.
Any way, That is what I do to earn my daily Alfa money..... So any Alfa Guys or Gals in the philly area who want to look great next to and in their cars LOL "No disrespect intended" Drop me a line..... and I will get you into a training program LOL......
Ciao Ciao.
Martin.

Alright! I can go to junglejustice to have my GTV's door dings removed and then get a paint job consultation. I can then look to Martin to have my GTV beefed up with some wide GTAm fenders. Cool.

We produce 3.7L and 4.7L engines for the Liberty, Dakota, Durango, Grand Cherokee, Dodge Trucks and looks like soon the Chrysler 300C. We also do a lot of favors for the Hemi and V10 Viper Engine people since this lab is well staffed with equipment and knowledge (toot, toot ... beeping my own horn, and my co-worker Joe). We are the go to guys for failure analysis on broken componants from failed engines here at Chrysler Powertrain!

Hey Pablo, can I send you some stuff?
I have a turbo with a turbine shaft that split in two...
Among other things. I'll probably have loads more once my new project is under way.
I'm actually thinking about opening my own company and make performance parts for Alfa Romeos, I will be during my "spare" time though since I'll still keep my dayjob.

Hello, I am an Engineer.
... and out of the main topic:
In the thirty´s and in the WWII, the main activity of Alfa Romeo was the production of aviation egines. Even, at 1933, Alfa suppressed the cars sales market in Europe.
There were reasons of national prestige (Alfa was inside a state group of companies, the I.R.I.) that made that Alfa continues manufacturing cars and going to races.
To solve technical problems about aviation engines, they contract a foreigner (an exception) as engineering boss: He was the Spanish engineer Wilfredo Ricart, boss of the "Experiences department".
In addition to this, Wilfredo Ricart set up the department "Alfa Corse", tune up the Alfa 158, designed the gorgeous Alfa 162, 163, 512...., but his main task was the aviation engines (Italy was already in war in Africa and then in Europe).
The Alfa Romeo factory was bombarded during the war because it was a military target.
At the end of the WWII, Ricart returned to Spain and he designed the best sport cars in its time: the PEGASO
Here you have an examples of a Pegaso

I'm the plant manager of a chemical plant.
We moved to Baton Rouge LA with our Alfas last January and so far I've seen a grand total of 1 Alfa on the road down here.

I absolutely love this site. It's been so helpful.

I support a small credit card call center in Southern California. While the title is sometimes great, the duties can range from very cool to very lame... probably like everybody else's job.
I'm looking forward to my title being, "Retired" or "Filthy Rich". Then I'll have more time to play with the Alfas.

Be warned though, Alfas can have a strange effect on owners; ‘Alfaholic’ a recognised condition among car enthusiasts

Dave,
Yea, I get some flack for the 164. One more Japanese car minded engineer asked why I would want to buy a used 164 vs. a Corolla (which we make at my factory). I just smile - we know why, but he doesn't.
