Time for a small update... not much has happened but all the panels have arrived safely from Alfaholics a few weeks ago but were held up in customs for another 2 weeks grrrr

First picture is what an early christmas looks like for me

Second pic is the car ready to be trailered down the street to my friend Sams place where the new panels will be welded in.

The black steel wheels on the car are 15" off a Saab 9000.

Feels nice to get the ball rolling again!

Looks like the project is coming along just fine. Cant wait to see more. Im inspired now to go bang on my car!

Are those SABB wheels the same hole pattern as the Alfa?

Thanks for the update.

Thumbs up

I would also like to thank Max Banks from Alfaholics for helping me with the order and shipping of the parts, i appreciated his patience with what seemed like 100 emails!

One of the rubber seals was missing in the shipment and Max quickly sent a replacement, couldnt be more happy, I highly recommend them

Yeah I was wondering what that book was about too?

All that work I did making my sills/rockers and now you can buy the complete pressing ... just shows that the situation for these cars has improved massively over the years.

I had some local options for sill panels.. i could have got one from Sydney Classic Car restorations.. out near Goulburn of all places.. but it didnt have the end bits. I also had a look at a pair that came from Sweden but the shape was all wrong and it was very crude. My only other local option was the buy one from the Alfa 105 Factory in VIC but they wanted crazy $$$$$$$$$$$.

I am very pleased with these pressings they appear to be exact reproductions of the originals - yay
