A Great Alfisti Has Passed the Finish Line
It is with a very heavy heart that I report the passing of a fellow Alfisti. Ernest A. "Pat" Garrett, known here on the BB as "Alfasr" passed away at his home in Fallbrook this morning. Pat was a great friend to all Alfisti. He and his wife Glenna were life time members of the AROC and had been very active in SCCA. I have been told that there will not be a service, but if you would like to be apprised of any other news, PM me and I will make sure that you are included in future message.

Sad day indeed....
My condolences to his family and all who knew Pat. What a great guy who will be missed by many, though his indomitable spirit will certainly live on.

It is a sad day indeed! But, as most of you know, Pat enjoyed his Alfas, his motorcycles, racing and just about everything else in his pretty long life... having fun well into his eighties.
Although I only met him once, I will always remember him.
Here are a few pics he posted on the BB:

Pat was a great friend and Alfa mentor. Here's a picture of him working on someone else's engine.

Wow....very sad. It has been a tough winter on the Alfisti. Pat seemed like a very nice and cordial fellow. RIP Pat.
Best Regards,

While I never had the good fortune to meet Pat, I can see by the photo's posted he was obviously a cool guy that liked his Alfa's. Condolences to all family and friends.

Sad to hear. While I hadn't seen Pat in many years, he and my late dad were good friends. My prayers and best wishes go out to Glenna and the Garret family.

Sad indeed. My condolences to Glenna and the family. Pat was a good man. He infected many, including myself, with the Alfa bug. All that knew him are sure to miss Pat.

It is very sad when the Alfa community loses one of it's prime contributors. Pat (and Glenna) was very active in AROC and the Alfa sceen in southern California for many years. He will be missed. My condolences to Glenna and the Garrett family.
