Avo coilovers

Hi all.
I've bought a set of Avo coilovers to use on my 1976 Alfetta racer. I wonder if someone here uses the same kit? Is it room between the upper a-arm at all to mont a damper with a 2,25 ID coil spring?

Sorry...there was text attached....but somehow it got lost in space. (Read that as - I stuffed up somewhere.)

Basically what I added was - these are AVO coilovers with the spring size you mention but with fabricated upper arms. Wasn't sure if the pic would be of any help to you but thought it was worth a shot.

Was changing the upper arm something that had to be done? Is it possible to buy aftermarked upper arms?

I used to have 1.75" AVO coilovers on my 75. No problems with upper control arms. I suspect with 2.25" you need to widen the opening a little, and your caster adjustment would be limited.

1.75" springs? That is thin. Sure it was not the damper itself that was 1.75"?

The kit i have is a "normal" ajustable damper rebuildt by avo to fit coilsprings.

It was done by the previous owner to enable castor changes.
