Has anyone installed this elec. ignition conversion?

I wasn't sure if this fit into any of the other tech forums, but I found this while drudging around on eBay:

I'm a bit concerned that there is no safety for the system (i.e. if the ignition is in the run position for more than 30 seconds, the components may fry). I'm sure I could create a safety for it, but I want to know if the system even backs up its claims.
