THIS must be what ALFAPOCOLYPSE means
funny story...spent the better part of monday afternoon replacing the exhaust on heavy metal's current driver, no easy feat as i haven't actually done a lot of wrenching yet; all of this, of course, in the interest of taking her for a "shakedown putt" afterwards. So I was REALLY enjoying myself, feeling the direct connection to the road that is so familiar to all of you who are already gtv6 owners, when I did something VERY DUMB. I AM SORRY. Not as much to glen at this point, he insists the donut was already going, and I had also noticed the vibrations at idle. And I'm not saying sorry to the car; she had an undeniable feeling of relief after lettin go, like a patient who has FINALLY made it to their root canl appointment. No, I'm saying sorry to all of you, the faithful gtv6tis, who would have smacked the taste right out of my mouth if they had seen this young fool allow an italian sports car to run up to redline...in neutral...WHILE MOVING...just to hear that wail. I've learned, now, that hearing that amazing exhaust note, and sharing it's beauty with those around you, is only for those who can be patient, keep her in 3rd, and EARN IT.won't happen again,sir...................

The inimitable
Yes folks, here he is, the inimitable Alfapocolypse[Dave the Alfa slave].
Though a fledgling mechanic, the boy has true love of the marque and will grow. A friend for many years, he is best known for being a very talented musician [don't let it go to your head Dave] and a real character.

And by the way Dave, you can stop feeling so guilty, the flange had been welded[poorly] before and was going to break anyway. Though redline with no load is never a good idea !!

no way, baby...branded with the mark (or marque, if you prefer) just previous to my 2002 HMA sponsored cross country odyssey, which I generally refer to as "transcontinental for the freshman alfisti". So far I have only seen one other on woman who lives in israel, where she drives a blue alfetta. The pictures should be on gtv6.org if you snoop around!

Wow, that is VERY cool, and a little more symmetrical than mine! I like the border and lettering, whoever did it has great hands. It's a unique piece, isn't it? Believe me its a thousand times rarer to people in th u.s. who haven't seen a new alfa for 15 years!!! I just Know that someday it will be, once again, as common a sight here as the bmw roundel or the porsche crest, but I will always get the best reactions, especially from italian tourists!(Maine's known as "vacationland") So come on, who else?

Kids - there is a whole thread devoted to the subject of Alfa Tattoos: Alfa Tattoos!
You should add yours to it!
p.s. - while I'm fairly well covered in tatts myself - I don't have any Alfa specific ones

Save the photo on your desktop.
Then scroll down to the bottom of the AlfaBB page where it says "post quick reply" - but don't click on that! Below where you type in the 'quick reply' there is a button to "go Advanced" click that and enter your reply in that dialog box. Scroll down the page it there is a button that says "manage attachments" click it. A window pops up and click "browse" to find the picture file on your desktop, select the file, click "upload", when it's done uploading the file - you can close that window and click "submit reply" on the message section in the main webpage (you need to type a few works or symbols in the message box to make it submit), and you should be done.
