Yet another weekend without the GTV :(

I turned my car over to the body shop before I started SERE on May 2nd. There was quite a bit of bodywork to be done, so I told them they could keep it as long as it takes to make it look good. I've been dropping in on them since I graduated the course and they have been making progress every time, but I just want to drive it again. It was supposed to go to the paint booth yesterday, but they found more bodywork that needed to be done. Now it's looking like Monday or Tuesday.

Can you guys go out and find some curvy roads this weekend and post some pics up? I will live vicariously through you for the time being.

Anyone? I had a little fun with my free tickets to Bama Jam. I got to see ZZ Top and Lynard Skynyrd. Not too big on the country acts, but I do enjoy the atmosphere that goes with live music. I hope you all had fun w/ your Alfas. I'm going to drop off the new rear badge this morning and they said it should be done by tomorrow afternoon.

As promised. The Greenlawn - Locust Valley River run. Well, there really isn't a river but I think you'd agree that the title sounds much cooler with the word "river" added. Invitations were send out but apparently they all had other plans

Starting line-up, overlooking the historic Greenlawn Hardware store (and all those wires). "The hamlet's first commercial building, a general store built in the 1860s, remains today as Greenlawn Hardware."

Huntington Harbor (and the effect of $4.50/gallon gas)

The Alfa again

Heading back home

Very nice, thank you! I think I'll cruise the beach down at Destin next weekend and get some nice pics for you (If I can convince my pregnant wife that it's a good idea). Where is Fort Drum in relation to you? I may end up there within the next few years.

Well, that's no good. At least the Apache's got heat, I guess.

Turns out they're not going with a custom color like we agreed upon over a month ago. I went to training and they got into their books and picked out the yellow from the 2003 Lambo color chart. It's got kind of an orange sorbet colored base with a heavy gold pearl.

I believe it will come out about like this:

I don't have the paint code right now, but I will tomorrow when I pick it up.

Jason, I know how you feel. I haven't had mine for over six weeks, but I just got the call that it is running great, has passed smog and is ready for pickup.

I'm not going to be able to get anything done at work for the rest of the day

Good luck with yours, hope to see pics when it's done.

A storm rolled through last night and knocked out the power to their air compressor and lights. No car tonight either, but he has assured me that it will be ready tomorrow afternoon.
