Brake Propotioning Valve

On the recent thread about improving GTV6 braking it was mentioned that braking could be improved on the earlier cars by putting in a later brake propotioning valve. I notice that IAP lists two valves; one through car 6831 (81-85) and ont for the post 631 cars. Would the later valve be a direct bolt on or would modifications be required?

Hi Terry,
I don't know the exact answer to your question. If no one else replies, then IAP would probably know. My vote would be the later one if possible as I know the one for the earlier cars has too much rear bias. I just don't think the late GTV6 and the Milanos had as bad of rear break overheating problems.

Merril,

I have lowered the heat in the rear by installing Greg Gordon's side out exhausts. I will talk to IAP. Terry
