I forget to mention two other mods that made a huge difference. Did you notice that I have an additional 3" of spacers on the Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel? This really helps as I have 6 degrees of positive Caster, 1.5 neg camber and a bit of tow-out. You can get a lot more leverage with the steering wheel closer. This also allows me to move my fat butt a bit futher back to help with the weight distribution!

I did notice!

I want to do that, but I think I'm going to mount a seat that is lower than a stock one (helmet hits the roof all the time). If I get an extender, the steering wheel will be nearly eye-level Xp

Poly in the rear end is great, but mine eventually started to groan under slow maneuvers. Worth the trade off? For me, yes!
I want to rebuilt my front end now and use poly on the upper control arm bushing...I'll see how it works out.

Did I stress that I want to see a video of your car when you track it??

Car looks absolutely fantastic, a very nice toy to have. Must make some really nice sounds. One of the cars on my futures list, Red too!

Nice!!

Looking great Dave! Can't wait to see it in person. Remind me not to mess with you at Autobahn! Your pics make me look forward to getting mine out of hibernation this weekend.

Dave,

Nice. I remember seeing this car at Besic's a few years ago and he was commenting on how much custom work had to be done to get the 4-cam engine to fit. The 17 inch wheels look nice and car should fly. Time to take on some Ferrari's on the track.

Wow, the car really looks terrific!
Would you mind giving a little more detail on the wheel hardware? I'm ready to order up wheels to replace the TRX wheels. I need some wheels for some NT01s and I'm looking to put a similar set-up together.

Do you know what offset these wheels are?

Thanks a lot, and I hope to see you on the road (and the track)!

Wheel details

Ok here are the keys to making a 5x100 wheel work:

1. 35 MM Offset with a 7.5 inch width perhaps 8 inch width should work.
2. You need centering rings.
3. You need the offset woble nuts that Charlie D'Marco sells at serpent autosport.

Keep in mind that the overall tire diameter is the key to not rubbing. Max diameter is 24" on my lowered car if the front tire was a 1/4 inch taller it would rub on the inner wheel well at the back..
